Custom Wade Saddles

Hand Made Custom Saddles -

'58 Wade, wood post horn, all over daisy stamping, beaver tail buckrolls, inlaid padded seat, inskirt rigging, and 5" monel stirrups.
The Wade Tree Saddle, also known as a Buckaroo Saddle or Slick Fork Saddle is born of the Californio and Great Basin traditions. It's signature characteristics are the Slick Fork topped with one of a variety of substantial dally horns; a deep seat backed up with a high backed cantle.
There are countless variations on the Wade Saddle theme but the most important consideration is performance. A great riding saddle will hold up over time and provide comfort for both horse and rider. The generations of horsemen and saddle makers who contributed to this design were thinkers; people who demanded a piece of equipment that would help them and their horses do a better job. That job might be a 30 mile commute to wherever the cattle were that day to roping then doctoring or branding or finding a more refined way of communicating with their best bridle horse.

The saddle should be a beautiful, functional tool. Our goal is to pull all the elements, design, quality materials and skill together to produce a custom saddle that will be a source of pleasure and satisfaction for years to come. Our Western Riding Saddles fulfill that goal.

Top notch riding saddles for the discerning equestrian. Great Ranch Saddles for great ranchers.

'Over the last fifteen years I’ve ridden two saddles that Bob has built for me. The quality, craftsmanship and functionality of these rigs is second to none.

Brad Hobson
Ranch Manager, - The Stock Farm'

Hey Bob, Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate my new saddle and all the effort you put into making sure it fit my horses. I've made several 20 mile rides already and my mares are moving out really well. What was amazing to me was the 11 hour cattle drive I did and I wasn't even sore the next day, thanks, Bob.
